I have attended Kilkenny college of beauty and Sports Therapy since 2019 having completed numerous courses - diploma in media, fashion and photographic makeup Artistry, ITEC in Makeup, eyelash extensions, Brows, tanning and currently enrolled in VTCT education and training. I want to say how excellent the entire process was. The support and knowledge you receive from the tutors is outstanding. The college provides a quality service to prepare you for real life challenges in the beauty industry. I can not thank the girls enough for the knowledge and skills they have provided me with in my career, not to mention the ongoing support I still receive. The qualifications I have received here enabled me to create and run my own business and further my career. The facilities at the college are top class, they provide a fun, safe learning environment for each and everyone of their students. I have big plans for my career and it all would not have been possible without the help and support from Kilkenny college of beauty and Sports Therapy. Amy Connell.

My name is Leah Dowling, owner of House Of Glam. I have completed a number of courses with the Kilkenny College Of Beauty and sports therapy including Gel Extensions, Waxing and Henna Brows. I found these courses absolutely amazing, all the teachers were so friendly and very helpful, it felt more like an evening out with the girls rather than a study as the courses are very practical! Lynn has been so helpful even after I completed these courses, any questions you may have she is sure to give you an answer. Definitely recommend this college.

I started my Beauty Therapy Diploma in 2008 at The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy . My course was full time for 1 year. The college is known for its professionalism and it’s a fact, every student that qualifies will carry this fantastic trait with them. The Beauty Therapy Diploma covers everything practical from facials, body massage, use of facial and body machines, Makeup, tinting, waxing, manicures and pedicures. You will also qualify with Top class knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body. I was accredited with CIDESCO Beauty therapy diploma, CIBTAC aesthetician diploma, CIBTAC body therapy Diploma and ITEC Electrolysis and I received student of the year 2009. The The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy was the first step in my career. I would highly recommend anyone to apply to The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy if you want to start a career in the beauty industry.

My name is Karena Dowling and I have enjoyed a wonderful career in Beauty Therapy as a direct result of the excellent training and support that I received from the The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy . The training was provided in a professional manner and in a small class environment that enabled students to excel. I graduated with international qualifications in Beauty Therapy from CIDESCO, ITEC and CIBTAC, and was able to achieve Post Graduate holistic qualifications in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and completed my Teaching Diploma at the College also. I walked straight into employment afterwards and enjoyed many years of teaching, passing on the knowledge and skills that I had learned at The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy to others. I was on the advisory committee for the Dept of Education and Science to establish Qualification Requirements and Standards for the teaching of Beauty Therapy within State Colleges but the highlight of my career was holding the position of National Examiner/Head Judge for the Dept of Ed and Science National Skills Competition for several years, which carried with it the responsibility of training the Irish winner for the Worldskills International Competition and acting as the Irish Expert and Judge on that international stage. The Irish competitors that I trained both won Silver Medals at the two consecutive WorldSkills Competitions that I was involved in. None of that would have been possible without the superb training that The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy provided for me and I would highly recommend it as a college for anyone who has the aspirations to rise to the top of this industry.

I have continued that high standard that was instilled in me throughout my career as a therapist and as a tutor.

My name is Leigh Salmon Horohan I graduated from the full time CIDESCO beauty course at The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy in 2003 and have never looked back. I went on to work in many spas and salons around the south east of Ireland and became a tutor for The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy for 13 years. I then moved to Malta where I worked for 2 adjoining companies who owned 8 five star spas across the island and became their overall training assessor before going on to set up an ITEC academy called Mspa Academy mspaacademy.com for them. I worked there for over 2 years and got it up and running very fruitfully for them and it is still running very successfully to this day. I also went to Poland and trained in all the latest technology from micro needling and chemical peels to microdermabrasion to help the academy offer a more up to date range of courses. I then moved back to Ireland in 2015 and set up my own little beauty suite in Charm Hair and Beauty on Parnell Street, Kilkenny where I am currently at since working very happily for myself. If you have a passion for the beauty industry and for making people look and feel their best I couldn’t recommend a better place to start your career than The Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy

“I found my holy grail that was Kilkenny College of Beauty and Sports Therapy. Now when I first emailed the college I had enquired about the full Beauty Therapist course. I was then contacted via phone call by the owner of the college Lynn Dowling . Lynn went into great detail about the course and explained it so amazing to me , I think she new by my voice that I wasn’t to sure about doing the full package as I was drawn on Makeup . Lynn then informed me of a course she was thinking of running but wasn’t to sure how it would go, this was the one for me. ITEC Qualification in Makeup Artistry & a Degree in fashion Media and photography makeup. Every Tuesday and second Wednesday from 6.30-9.30 ! I was hooked ! This worked so well for me with a new born baby as her bedtime was 7.00pm and David was always home at those times. Fast Forward to November same year 2017 . I started in Kilkenny College . This course was jam packed with everything a Makeup artist needed from the INGLOT kit to the NIMA brushes , the expertise from aisling Nolan who was my tutor, communication, dedication and drive ! I learned so much and made friends for life along the way ! Lynn was exceptional the whole way through our course, no matter what time of day she was there to lend a helping hand . If I could go back and do it all again i would. You don’t need to be the best of the best . Start small and work your way up . I’m still learning now . I finished college in March 2018 and got my result in May 2018. I did it! I made something of myself ! I worked my butt off for my daughter and boyfriend! I showed everyone who said I would never do anything after having a baby. I feel proud every time I walk into my beauty room and see what I have achieved and made. I couldn’t do it without the support of david, my family, his family and my college course . If you want something you need to get up and go for it ! Life is to shirt for ifs & buts . Going to college has changed my life for the better . Onwards and upwards from here !”
